Syamil asks: Hello Dr. I had a full hysterectomy about a month ago. I wanted my gynae to save my ovaries but he could only save one. He prescribed Premarine for me and informed me of its benefits which reportedly outweigh the small risks. I am still debating about hormone therapy. I prefer a hormone-free alternative but is doubtful about Remifemin®. It only addresses issues of night sweats, mood swings and hot flushes but what about fears of osteoporosis which, on the contrary, HRT can apparently solve?
