January 2014 Q&A

Q. Fatima writes: I am 49 years old I still get my period regularly. I have migraine headaches but recently I get hard headaches with some food. Can you tell me how to handle this?

Q. Thalia writes: I've been taking Remifemin for over a year now and it has helped with night sweats, almost entirely stopped them. I have a question for the doctor though. I get double periods occasionally (seemingly random) and it's really upsetting. I always heard that with perimenopause, your periods stop. So imagine my surprise when I found out extra periods are quite common. I'd really like a natural way to get back to a normal schedule. Can't find any helpful info online except there's been some mention of wild yam supplements and progesterone creams. I'm in the middle of moving and can't go to the doctor or naturopath until I find one. Any suggestions?
