A Magical Thermostat

Tuesday, September, 15, 2015 < Back to Blog Posts

The weather will be cooling down in many parts of the country this month…and we’ll be going to our thermostats and turning on the heat. It’s really nice that wherever you set your thermostat, that’s exactly what you get. Wouldn’t it be great if we had that kind of thermostat? We touch a couple of numbers on our arms and set the temperature we want to be. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Our fluctuating hormone levels wreak havoc with our body’s thermostat and we get hot flashes! You never need to feel alone about that as statistically we know that as many as 80 percent of menopausal women in the United States experience hot flashes.
How about punching more numbers in our “magical” thermostat and telling ourselves what weight we would like to be? Oh, if only…right? Weight gain is common during menopause too.
And what about your mood? Do you feel like you’re at a local playground as your mood “swings” - from happy to sad in a matter of minutes? Again – menopause is the culprit. And what about “meno-brain?” You can’t remember where you put something until you find your keys in the egg carton section of the fridge. How did that happen?
Here’s the bad news: we weren’t born with a “magical thermostat.”
Here’s the good news: you can take Remifemin®!
I was so happy to find Remifemin early in my menopausal journey. I did my research and found out that Remifemin has RemiSure® Black Cohosh, a proprietary and unique black cohosh extract that relieves the discomfort of hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and irritability.* And Remifemin is clinically tested; I like that about Remifemin too! Hormones? Remifemin is hormone free, and works with my body to promote physical and emotional balance during menopause.* Sounds like something you need?
Plus, Remifemin is an effective alternative to Hormone Replacement Therapy – also called HRT, for menopause symptoms.*  And it’s safe for women who choose not to take HRT.
In addition to taking my Remifemin, I’ve also found that it’s important to take the time to unplug and be good to myself. Here are five tips that may help you unplug too!
  1. Spend time with friends, whether they are old, new or four legged.
  2. Pick up a new book or reread an old favorite.
  3. Untie from the tech side of life, unless of course you are going to our Remifemin Facebook page!
  4. Sweat or stretch it out…just move.
  5. Appreciate the small things like a cup of tea, a bath, or the clouds in the sky.
So, while there is no way to get your hands on a “magical thermostat” to make life better, there is Remifemin. It’s real…and it’s been used safely by women around the world for nearly 60 years. So what do you think ladies? Since there isn’t a magical thermostat, we’ll take Remifemin!
