Be Thankful It's Now

Our Remifemin® Facebook® page provides a lot of feedback on what you are thinking. Every so often someone will post about the fact that we don’t need to do “anything” when it comes to menopause, or if you just exercise and eat right, that’s all you need. I’ve also seen the school of thought that our grandmothers didn’t take anything for menopause, and they seemed to get through it just fine.
Let’s talk about this.
First of all, for some ladies, menopause is not a big deal. They don’t have many hot flashes or night sweats, and since they don’t “walk a mile in our shoes” they just don’t see what the fuss is about. But for far more of us, menopause is a big deal, a very big deal. It’s sweating at the wrong time and feeling like your body has a mind of its own. It’s frustrating, embarrassing, exhausting and maddening!
Let’s get back to the idea that your Grandma didn’t do anything about menopause. Well, Grandma probably didn’t get to voice much of an opinion about anything regarding her feelings, and she certainly wasn’t talking about hot flashes in mixed company, if at all. She may have worked hard on a farm, like my Grandma did, but she wasn’t sitting in corporate board rooms with corporate pressure or expected to sit eight plus hours a day at a computer with too much to do and very little sleep. Our modern day stress has most certainly added to our menopausal maladies. Grandma may not have lived as long we will, and thus not lived a third of her life post-menopausal.
Grandma may have thought she was going crazy, or there may have been many nights when she just didn’t understand what was happening. If Grandma lived in Europe, she may have known about Remifemin® menopause relief, and then she was on the right track. Remifemin has been used by women around the world for nearly 60 years, but unfortunately, too many in the here-and-now just don’t know about it!
Another issue I see on Facebook is when women lump all menopausal products together without doing their research, or they make decisions on what they will take based on an advertisement. The good news is we live in a time when we do have a unique herbal extract that is estrogen free. We live in a time when we can do the research and get encouragement from women around the country also in menopause.
I encourage you to go to and read all the sections. Read the background of Remifemin, and how it is a standardized, proprietary black cohosh extract that is only in Remifemin. Find out how Remifemin is backed by 30 years of clinical studies, how it’s proven to be effective, safe, and well tolerated, and clinically proven to reduce hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings and occasional related sleeplessness. Read the questions ladies have posed and are answered by Dr. Minkin. Get encouragement from my blog articles for your day-to-day journey with menopause.
The truth is- I’m thankful for Remifemin. I’m thankful that I live in a time when I can talk about it and simply say: I’m having a hard day, I’m a menopausal woman.”  I know we have a ways to go, but we are making progress. And we are in this together. Thanks for taking this journey with me. We really need each other!
